Vegas-style magic show The Magic & the Wonder with world-famous performers to benefit two local charities

What: A Vegas-style magic show brought to Louisville’s Whitney Hall. Ideal for a date, friends, or the whole family. See world-famous performers Jason Bishop, Bob Brizendine, Dirk Losander, as well as local magicians Patrick and Janice Miller, while supporting a great cause. All proceeds benefit Kosair Charities and Kids Center for Pediatric Therapies.

Who: Jason Bishop is the star of two of his own Off-Broadway shows, “Straight Up Magic” and “Believe in Magic.” Jason has been featured on CBS Sunday Morning, NBC’s Today Show, and the CW Network’s Masters of Illusion. He was the cover story and feature article for Southwest Airlines in-flight magazine and made The New York Times say, “How did he do that?”

Bob Brizendine is not your average emcee. He is also a magician who has been performing high-energy comedy shows around the world for 25 years. This is Bob’s second year emceeing The Magic & the Wonder.

Dirk Losander is the only name in the world of magic that is synonymous with levitation. Losander has performed his magic in exclusive venues from Europe to Japan and Australia. He currently performs in the World’s Greatest Magic Show in Las Vegas and received the 2006 Milbourne Christopher Award for Illusionist of the Year.

Patrick and Janice Miller are the local magic duo who produce and perform in The Magic & the Wonder each year. Patrick’s connection to Kosair Charities and the Kids Center is personal. He was born with bilateral club feet and placed in leg casting immediately at birth. He received cast treatment at Kosair Crippled Children Hospital from ages one to four and underwent multiple surgeries and brace treatments until age 17. He is an active board member at Kosair Charities.
