Kosair Kid Princesses to Reign Over Tea Party at Kentucky Castle

Joy will fill the Kentucky Castle on Sunday, June 7, as 36 little girls receive a day that they will never forget. Kosair for Kids, our region’s most comprehensive children’s charity, will treat specially invited Kosair Kids to the royal treatment. The princesses will start the day getting their hair, makeup, and nails done by UK Dance Team members. They’ll then walk or roll the pink carpet before meeting their favorite Disney princesses for story time, games, lunch, and tea.

This is the fourth consecutive year Kosair for Kids has held the event, with a different group of princesses taking part each time. The girls range in age from 3 to 12 years old and have benefited from the Kosair Kids Financial Assistance Program, which provides support for medical bills, equipment, and therapy that the children may otherwise go without.

While most people know the name “Kosair” for medical care, the children’s charity has spent the past 103 years doing so much more. Kosair for Kids supports groundbreaking medical research, education, social services, and child advocacy. It also leads the effort to end child abuse and neglect and creates unique experiences designed to meet the specific needs of children who may otherwise not get the opportunity to experience the power of joy.
