Thirty-six Kosair Kids had the experience of a lifetime at the Kentucky Castle in Versailles, near Lexington, on Sunday, where they were treated like royalty by Kosair for Kids. The third annual Kosair Kids Princess Tea treated girls of differing abilities to pampering and a tea party with their favorite princesses. Their Fairy Godmother, Elise (a generous Kosair for Kids donor), was also on hand to celebrate the girls. Elise provided princess dresses for each of the princesses.
Kosair for Kids helps kids in all 120 Kentucky counties by providing assistance with medical bills, equipment, and therapies their families could not otherwise afford. They also support organizations in Western Kentucky through grants for pediatric medical research, education, social services, and child advocacy.
All the princesses have received some form of assistance from our region’s most comprehensive children’s charity, Kosair for Kids. Some in attendance have battled cancer, others receive assistance with differing forms of therapy or medical equipment that allows them to live life to the fullest.
When they arrived in the morning, the Kosair Kids received tiaras, costume jewelry, and a doll of their favorite Disney character. The University of Kentucky Dance Team then provided pampering, doing the princess's hair, makeup, and nails. A pink carpet led the way into the ballroom, where the tea awaited. But first, a surprise visit from Disney princesses who taught their fans to twirl and then led story time.
This highly anticipated event delivers on the Kosair for Kids promise to help all children live life to the fullest by providing a unique experience for children to feel loved and appreciated.
