Louisville, Ky. – January 5, 2022 – iHeartMedia Louisville announced today community partnerships with eight local nonprofit organizations that address one or more of the following key issues in the community: children safety and well-being, racial equity and mental health. Beginning today, iHeartMedia Louisville will support the mission of these organizations through the stations’ assets including on-air, on stations’ websites and on social media.
iHeartMedia Louisville will create in-kind media campaigns for the following nonprofit organizations: AMPED; Bellewood & Brooklawn; CASA of The River Region ; Center for Women & Families; Family & Children’s Place; Kosair Charities; Louisville Free Public Library and NAMI Louisville. The last set of media campaigns will end in December 2022.
Each community partner will be promoted during a three-month marketing campaign based on their specific needs, including seeking volunteers, building awareness and promoting events.
iHeartMedia Louisville’s Local Advisory Board (LAB), comprised of over 17 community leaders, selected the recipients through an extensive application process. Additionally, the LAB identified the following key needs as the most impactful in the Louisville community: child safety and well-being, racial equity and mental health.
“NAMI Louisville is truly grateful for our growing relationship with iHeartMedia. We have been fortunate to have received iHeartMedia community spotlight grants that have provided us with much-needed promotional opportunities,” said Nancy Brooks, Executive Director of NAMI Louisville. “For a small organization such as ours, it is difficult to find marketing dollars. This opportunity to advertise throughout the community on so many platforms has helped us to educate the community on the work of NAMI Louisville. We are excited to watch our partnership with iHeartMedia continue to grow as we collaborate on projects that will change the lives of those affected by mental illness.”
“Once again, we are honored to serve eight local organizations whose missions we all believe in and we will continue to collaborate with each of them into the future,” said Earl Jones, Metro President of iHeartMedia Louisville. “Our iHeartRadio community partnership program continues to evolve with the needs of the community around it and it’s important that we use our multi-platform to inform our communities of the organizations working to improve the lives of Kentuckiana residents.”
