Kosair Charities Announces New Board Chair

Hugh I. (“H”) Stroth elected Chair of Kosair Charities Board of Directors

The Kosair Charities Board of Directors is pleased to announce Hugh I. (“H”) Stroth, Jr. as the new Board Chair. Active in community service, Stroth is a member of the Kentucky Board of Licensure for Occupational Therapy. He formerly served on several boards, including the Spalding University Board of Trustees, Heuser Hearing and Language Academy, and as an ex-officio member of the Kentucky Circuit Court Clerks Trust for Life.

The Board is currently going through a strategic planning process with Kosair Charities President, Keith Inman, which will culminate in a comprehensive plan for the next several years.

Stroth retired as Corporate Director of Donor Development for Shriners Hospitals for Children, a network of 22 non-profit medical facilities across North America that cares for children with orthopedic conditions, burns, spinal abnormalities and injuries, and cleft lip and palate.

Prior to joining Shriners Hospitals, he spent over 17 years at the University of Kentucky as Director of Development for the Medical Center and College of Medicine, and Director of Development for Institutional Programs. He also was Associate Vice President for Development at the University of Louisville.

He holds an M. Ed. degree in Higher Education Administration with emphasis in Institutional Advancement from Peabody College at Vanderbilt University and a B.S. degree from Campbellsville University, Campbellsville, KY.
