For over ten years, Kosair has been providing special-needs and underprivileged Louisville children with a special holiday party. This event is possible in large part due to Kosair partners donating toys, bikes and wrapped gifts throughout the year. These generous contributions give many children a chance to celebrate the holidays, a chance they may not otherwise have.
This year we celebrated with free pizza, a visit from Santa Claus and a gift-opening session at Crowne Plaza.

Every time someone donated to Kosair Charities, they were entered into a contest to win a Christmas tree with ten $25 gift cards on it! Congratulations to our prizewinner, Fred – and thanks to everyone who bought kites for our Kosair Kids!

The grant brings Kosair Charities’ overall donation amount to the hospital to more than $106 million since 1981. A majority of funds have helped cover needy families’ medical expenses. It also helps the hospital afford new medical equipment, including another MRI machine, cover construction costs and meet other hospital financial obligations. Moving forward, Kosair Charities expects their donations to total more than $200 million by 2026.
